Regent Seven Seas Cruises is an all-inclusive ultra-luxury cruise line headquartered in Miami, Florida. Wholly owned by Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., Regent operates intimate, all-suite ships and offers voyages to more than 550 destinations across seven continents.
History and ownership
Regent traces its history to 1992. The business previously operated as Radisson Seven Seas Cruises before adopting the Regent Seven Seas Cruises name in 2006. It later became part of Prestige Cruise Holdings and was acquired by Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings in 2014.
Regent remains a distinct luxury brand within Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, alongside Norwegian Cruise Line and Oceania Cruises. It should not be confused with its parent company or those sister cruise brands.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises fleet
Regent currently operates six ships:
- Seven Seas Grandeur — entered service in 2023 and accommodates approximately 746 guests in all-balcony suites.
- Seven Seas Splendor — entered service in 2020 and accommodates approximately 746 guests.
- Seven Seas Explorer — entered service in 2016 and accommodates approximately 746 guests.
- Seven Seas Voyager — an all-suite, all-balcony ship accommodating approximately 698 guests. It returned to service in May 2026 following an extensive refurbishment.
- Seven Seas Mariner — an all-suite, all-balcony ship accommodating approximately 684 guests.
- Seven Seas Navigator — the smallest ship in the fleet, accommodating approximately 496 guests.
The operational fleet ranges from Seven Seas Navigator to the newer Explorer-class ships. Suite and guest-capacity figures can vary according to the way accommodation is sold and configured.
Seven Seas Prestige and future growth
Seven Seas Prestige is the first vessel in Regent's new Prestige Class and the line's first new ship class in a decade. The 76,550gt, 822-guest ship is scheduled to make her maiden voyage on 13 December 2026, sailing for 14 nights from Barcelona to Miami. Because that inaugural voyage has not yet taken place, the ship is not included in Deck7's current six-ship operational fleet count.
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has announced further approximately 77,000gt Prestige-class ships for delivery in 2030, 2033 and 2036. Each is currently planned for approximately 822 guests, although specifications and delivery schedules may change during the construction programme.
All-inclusive cruise experience
Regent positions its product around a high level of inclusion. Its standard all-inclusive fares cover accommodation, dining, selected wines and spirits, entertainment, gratuities, valet laundry, Starlink Wi-Fi and a programme of included shore excursions in ports of call. Concierge-level suites and higher also receive a pre-cruise hotel package under the published fare structure.
Regent also sells Ultimate All-Inclusive fares that add round-trip flights, airport transfers and other journey components. The exact inclusions depend on the fare type, market and itinerary, so guests should check the terms applying to their booking.
Destinations and itineraries
Regent offers cruises across Europe, the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Alaska, the Caribbean, the Americas, Africa, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. Its programme includes shorter regional cruises, extended Grand Voyages and world cruises.
The smaller scale of Regent's ships supports calls at a mixture of major cruise ports and less frequently visited destinations, while included shore excursions form a central part of the line's destination programme.
Onboard experience
Every Regent ship offers suite accommodation, with private balconies on nearly all suites across the fleet. Facilities vary by vessel but can include multiple restaurants, lounges, theatres, spas, fitness facilities, enrichment venues, culinary programmes and curated art collections.
The Explorer-class ships introduced larger signature suites, including the Regent Suite, together with expanded dining and public spaces. Seven Seas Prestige develops that approach with new two-level accommodation, 11 dining experiences and the 8,794-square-foot Skyview Regent Suite. Service across the line is designed around relatively low guest numbers and high crew-to-guest ratios.
Leadership
Wesley D’Silva is president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. The brand operates within Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, which is led by president and chief executive officer Harry Sommer.
