Seven Seas Prestige is the first vessel in Regent Seven Seas Cruises' new Prestige class and the first new ship class introduced by the ultra-luxury cruise line in a decade. The ship is being built by Fincantieri at Marghera, near Venice, and is scheduled to enter service in December 2026.

Construction began with the first steel cut at Marghera on 21 October 2024. The keel was laid on 27 March 2025 and the ship floated from dry dock on 27 November 2025 before Fincantieri marked its formal launch in December. Sea trials were under way in the Adriatic by August 2026.

Fincantieri's latest published specification gives Seven Seas Prestige a gross tonnage of 76,550 and an overall length of 257 metres. Regent publishes 411 suites, capacity for 822 guests, approximately 630 crew and 12 decks. Those figures produce a guest-to-space ratio of 93.67 and a guest-to-crew ratio of approximately 1.31.

Every guest accommodation is a suite with a private balcony. New categories include two-level Skyview Suites with private rooftop terraces, Grand Loft Suites with double-height windows and Horizon Penthouse Suites. At the top of the range is the two-storey, 8,794-square-foot Skyview Regent Suite, which incorporates private outdoor space, a gym, sauna and in-suite lift.

The ship is planned with 11 dining experiences. Regent's established venues include Compass Rose, Prime 7, Chartreuse, Pacific Rim, La Veranda and Sette Mari, while the new Azure restaurant introduces a Mediterranean concept. Other public spaces include the Starlight Atrium, Galileo's Bar, the Culinary Arts Kitchen and the Solara pool and sports decks.

The Starlight Atrium will contain an installation rising through 11 decks and formed from more than 300 handcrafted Bohemian crystal rods. Created with Preciosa Lighting and Studio DADO, the programmable artwork will become the centrepiece of Lumière, Regent's first sound-and-light show, scheduled nightly at 6.25pm.

Seven Seas Prestige is scheduled to begin its maiden voyage in Barcelona on 13 December 2026. The 14-night transatlantic itinerary concludes in Miami and begins an inaugural programme spanning Europe and the Caribbean. Itineraries remain subject to operational and construction-related changes until the ship enters service.

Fincantieri says the ship incorporates advanced environmental technologies, but neither the shipbuilder nor Regent had published sufficient ship-specific technical detail by 19 August 2026 to confirm LNG capability, shore-power equipment or an exhaust-gas cleaning system. Those fields therefore remain unconfirmed in the Deck7 Ship Index.

The vessel was transmitting the Italian MMSI 247615300 and call sign IL9950 while conducting sea trials. These are treated as temporary shipyard particulars and may change when Seven Seas Prestige is delivered and assumes its permanent operating flag and registry.
