Share your view from the water
Deck7 welcomes thoughtful contributions from cruisers, maritime specialists, port experts and people with a memorable first-hand experience to share.
Help the archive grow
The best cruise knowledge often comes from people who have sailed on the ship, visited the port, stayed in the cabin or experienced the venue themselves.
We are interested in original cruise stories, practical guides, ship and cabin observations, port experiences, historical material and photography that helps readers understand what a journey is really like.
You do not need to be a professional writer or photographer. Clear, honest first-hand knowledge is enormously valuable.
What we are looking for
- First-hand accounts of ships, cabins, restaurants and onboard venues.
- Useful port and destination advice based on personal experience.
- Original cruise photography with accurate captions and dates where known.
- Maritime history, shipbuilding knowledge and stories from former crew members.
- Constructive corrections or updates to information already published on Deck7.
Before sending your idea
Please tell us briefly who you are, what you would like to contribute and why you know the subject. A short outline and a few sample photographs are usually more useful than sending a large collection without warning.
Contributions must be your own work, and you must have permission to share any submitted photographs. Please identify hosted travel, employment, commercial interests or other relationships relevant to the contribution.
Submission does not guarantee publication. We may edit material for clarity, length, accuracy and house style. Copyright and usage arrangements will be agreed before photographs or substantial contributions are published.
Send us your idea
Introduce yourself and include a short summary of your proposed contribution. Please do not email a very large photo archive until we have replied with the best transfer method.
