SeaDream III is a planned boutique luxury yacht scheduled to join SeaDream Yacht Club in July 2029. At approximately 151 metres long, the purpose-built vessel will accommodate around 200 guests with a crew described by SeaDream as being of nearly equal size.

Announced on 1 September 2026, SeaDream III will be the first newly built yacht to join SeaDream since the family-owned company was established in 2001. It will be substantially larger than the 112-guest SeaDream I and SeaDream II, while retaining the brand's emphasis on intimate scale, personalised service, outdoor living and access to smaller ports.

Current status

SeaDream III remains a future vessel. Reservations opened when the project was announced, but SeaDream has not yet identified the shipyard, construction number, flag, port of registry, IMO number or detailed construction timetable.

The planned service-entry date is 10 July 2029, when the yacht is scheduled to depart Hong Kong on its maiden voyage. All specifications and deployment details remain subject to change before construction, delivery and entry into service.

Size, capacity and berths

SeaDream gives the yacht's length as approximately 151 metres, equivalent to 495 feet, and describes planned capacity as around 200 guests. The company has not stated whether that figure represents lower-berth capacity, normal operating capacity or the maximum permitted number of passengers.

A precise crew complement has also not been published. SeaDream says the crew will number nearly as many people as the guests, preserving the close-to-one-to-one service ratio associated with its existing yachts.

Gross tonnage, beam, draught, speed, total deck count and cabin inventory have not yet been disclosed. Deck7 therefore leaves those database fields unconfirmed rather than estimating them from renderings or the yacht's length.

Suites and staterooms

Guest accommodation will extend across five decks and include suites, Commodore staterooms and connecting configurations. SeaDream says private balconies will be provided across four guest decks, representing a major change from the ocean-view accommodation aboard its existing twin yachts.

Larger suites and staterooms are planned to support both ordinary cruises and longer combinations of voyages. The cruise line has not yet released category names, layouts, sizes, cabin numbers or a complete deck plan.

Outdoor spaces and watersports

The design places open-air living at its centre. Announced features include expansive upper decks, a dedicated pool deck and several indoor and outdoor areas for dining, socialising and relaxation.

Three watersports marinas will provide direct access to the sea, expanding a signature feature of SeaDream I and SeaDream II. Their use will depend on weather, sea conditions, local rules and the yacht's position during an individual call.

SeaDream has also promised enlarged spa, fitness and wellness facilities. Detailed venue names, restaurant numbers, entertainment spaces and technical arrangements have not yet been published.

Maiden voyage and first season

The maiden voyage is scheduled to leave Hong Kong on 10 July 2029 and travel through the Ryukyu Islands and along Japan's Pacific coast. Announced calls include Ishigaki, Yakushima, Okinawa, Amami Oshima, Kochi and Shimizu before the yacht reaches Tokyo for its official christening on 21 July.

The inaugural season will continue with cruises exploring Japan and South Korea, followed by voyages through Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand. Planned destinations include Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Bali, Komodo, the Great Barrier Reef and Tasmania.

Worldwide deployment

SeaDream says SeaDream III will visit 364 ports across 73 countries and six continents during its first 24 months. In 2030, the yacht is expected to sail west through India, the Arabian Peninsula and the Mediterranean before reaching London.

Later itineraries are planned for the British Isles, Baltic, coastal Norway, Svalbard, Greenland and Iceland. The yacht will then cross the North Atlantic to Canada and enter the Great Lakes before continuing along the American east coast and returning to the Caribbean.

A 180-night world voyage is scheduled to depart West Palm Beach on 5 January 2031 and conclude in London on 5 July. The route is planned to include the Panama Canal, Pacific coast of South America, South Pacific, Australia, Southeast Asia, India, Arabian Peninsula, Egypt, Jordan, Mediterranean and Atlantic Europe.

Propulsion and environmental equipment

SeaDream has not yet disclosed the yacht's engine type, primary fuel, propulsion arrangement, shore-power capability or exhaust-gas treatment. No assumptions are made about these systems in the Ship Index.

Environmental information will need to be updated when the operator, shipyard, classification society or flag administration publishes a technical specification.

Identification

No permanent IMO number, MMSI, call sign, flag or port of registry had been publicly confirmed when this profile was verified on 2 September 2026. These fields should be completed only after an authoritative record becomes available.
