Princess Cruises will expand its Sanctuary Collection across five Royal-class ships in 2027, bringing the premium accommodation concept to Royal Princess, Regal Princess, Discovery Princess, Sky Princess and Enchanted Princess.
The cruise line described the move as the first phase of a multi-year fleet modernisation initiative. Sanctuary Collection, which was introduced on Sun Princess and Star Princess, combines selected suites and staterooms with access to private onboard areas, exclusive dining, personalised service and a bundle of premium benefits.
Royal Princess will be the first of the five ships to offer the expanded product. Sanctuary Collection accommodation on the ship is already on sale for voyages beginning with a 12-night South Pacific sailing departing on 4 January 2027.
When will Sanctuary Collection launch on each ship?
- Royal Princess: on sale now, beginning with the 12-night South Pacific voyage departing 4 January 2027.
- Regal Princess: on sale from 5 November 2026, beginning with the transatlantic voyage from Port Everglades departing 17 April 2027.
- Discovery Princess: on sale from 4 December 2026, beginning with a seven-night Mexico voyage round-trip from Los Angeles departing 24 April 2027.
- Sky Princess: on sale from 10 December 2026, beginning with a 14-night Baltic voyage from Southampton departing 29 May 2027.
- Enchanted Princess: on sale from 17 December 2026, beginning with a seven-night Mediterranean voyage from Civitavecchia departing 12 June 2027.
The staged schedule means the booking dates and the first eligible departures are different for four of the ships. Guests should therefore check that a specific voyage and accommodation category is sold as part of Sanctuary Collection rather than assuming the benefits apply to every sailing or cabin aboard the vessel.
What is included?
Sanctuary Collection will cover selected suites and staterooms, including newly constructed ocean-view accommodation. Guests will receive access to the private Sanctuary Club, with lounge and social areas, dedicated service and a separate pool experience.
The pool area will include upgraded loungers, poolside food and beverage service and shaded cabanas. Princess has made clear that the cabanas will carry an additional charge, so they are not part of the standard Sanctuary Collection entitlement.
Guests will also have exclusive access to the Sanctuary Restaurant, where Princess says menus will take inspiration from the destinations visited by the ship. Those staying in Sanctuary Suites will receive help from a dedicated suite concierge, while suite guests will also be able to use a private Suite Lounge offering refreshments and concierge assistance.
Additional benefits announced by Princess include priority access and reservations, curated in-room amenities, tailored daily programming and dedicated service throughout the voyage.
Princess Premier bundled with new bookings
Guests who book Sanctuary Collection after it opens for sale on the relevant ship will receive the Princess Premier package. Princess describes Premier as its most inclusive package, with benefits including premium unlimited drinks, speciality and casual dining, high-speed Wi-Fi, crew appreciation, room service and OceanNow delivery.
There is a specific arrangement for some existing Royal Princess customers. Guests who booked before 22 October 2026 and already hold a Reserve Collection stateroom will receive the Sanctuary Collection experience and its additional amenities at no extra cost. However, Princess Premier is excluded from that complimentary transition.
A broader premium push across the fleet
The expansion takes a concept developed for Princess Cruises' newest Sphere-class ships and introduces it across a sizeable part of the established Royal-class fleet. It gives the line a more clearly defined premium-within-a-ship option while retaining access to the restaurants, entertainment, activities and destination programme available to other guests.
Princess Cruises president Gus Antorcha said the expansion would allow more guests to combine the privacy, service and amenities associated with an intimate luxury resort with the wider choice available on a Princess ship.
For UK passengers, the inclusion of Sky Princess is particularly notable. Its Sanctuary Collection programme is due to begin from Southampton on 29 May 2027, making the new product available on a ship with a major ex-UK deployment.
