MSC World Asia will offer the largest selection of complimentary and grab-and-go dining yet introduced by MSC Cruises when the new flagship begins Mediterranean sailings on 4 December 2026.

The ship will feature more than 40 bars, lounges and restaurants, including 20 separate dining venues. MSC says the expanded complimentary selection has been designed to give passengers more choice throughout the day, ranging from traditional main restaurants and buffets to poolside food stalls and quick takeaway options.

New additions will include Aqua Food Market, Buffet Grab & Go and a complimentary daytime window at the ship's Pan-Asian Street Food venue.

New Aqua Food Market brings five stalls poolside

Aqua Food Market will be a new fast-casual venue on the ship's Aqua Deck. Inspired by European coastal destinations, it will contain five food stalls serving freshly prepared dishes that passengers can customise.

The selection will include salads, loaded fries, sandwiches, filled pita breads and desserts. Guests will be able to eat inside the venue or take their food back to the pool area.

MSC has positioned Aqua Food Market as a flexible alternative for passengers who want a freshly prepared meal without visiting a buffet or sitting down in a main restaurant.

More complimentary food to take away

Buffet Grab & Go will also be located on the Aqua Deck near the pool. It will provide ready-to-go snacks for passengers moving between activities or looking for a quick bite without entering the main buffet.

The ship's new Pan-Asian Street Food concept will combine three experiences within one venue: a speciality restaurant, a bar and a daytime takeaway window. The window will serve complimentary street-food-style items including bao buns and crispy seafood balls.

MSC World Asia will additionally feature Promenade Bites in the Promenade district, offering complimentary sweet and savoury snacks. The Harbour Bar & Bites will serve snacks, treats and cold drinks to families visiting the Family Aventura district.

Pizza & Burger, situated beside Luna Park in the World Galleria, will operate around the clock with pizza, burgers and other quick options.

Twenty dining venues across the ship

MSC World Asia's 20 dining venues will comprise five main restaurants, six speciality concepts, two buffets and seven fast-casual or takeaway outlets. The total includes the private restaurant reserved for MSC Yacht Club guests.

The complimentary venues will operate alongside MSC's extra-charge speciality restaurants. Passengers should check the onboard programme and MSC for Me app for opening hours, because individual venues may operate at selected times rather than remaining open throughout the day.

The greater number of informal outlets should help distribute demand across the ship, particularly around the pool decks and family areas, while giving guests alternatives to the principal buffet during busy periods.

A new World-class flagship

MSC World Asia is the third ship in MSC Cruises' World class, following MSC World Europa and MSC World America. Its design incorporates themes inspired by Asian art, landscapes and culture while retaining the districts and large indoor-outdoor public spaces developed for the class.

The ship's dining announcement follows a series of previews covering its entertainment, bars, lounges, family facilities and the return of the Eataly restaurant brand.

MSC World Asia is scheduled to enter service on 4 December 2026 with seven-night Western Mediterranean cruises. Its regular itinerary will link Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia for Rome, Messina, Valletta and Naples, although the precise sequence of ports may vary between departures.

Complimentary does not mean every venue is included

MSC's announcement specifically expands the food available without an additional dining charge, but MSC World Asia will still carry several speciality restaurants for which separate charges or dining packages may apply.

Guests should check the conditions attached to their fare, drinks package and any dining package before sailing. Menu items, opening hours and inclusion arrangements can also change after a ship enters service.
